Darkelf - Blackface Edition

This is my first approach to the Dark Elf concept.

Dark elves are normal elves that were banned to live underground. Naturally, they are kind of funky looking - But I didn't want to have them looking like monsters. Even tough they are evil and live in a hostile enviroment, I wanted the sense of tradition, culture and the overall "elvish grace" to be still visible. Thus, the groomed clothing and simple ornaments.

This is a traditionally black-skinned dark elf. I really didn't want to combine dark skin with white hair since I fnd it kinda cheesy, so I went all black. This guys facial features are meant to look a little more animalistic. His ears are very batlike and his hairline morphs together with his eyebrows, which gives him that "touch of monkey."

Despite his face he is supposed to look respectable, intelligent and also a little menancing.

I'm not into hyperdetailed characters and tried to keep it rather simple.
